Your feet work hard all day, every day. They get you where you need to go, keep you moving and support the weight of your entire body. They help you walk, run, climb, drive, jump, cycle, swim and dance, and it’s very easy to take them for granted. At Cherry Blossom, we think taking care of our feet is incredibly important, and not just through shoe care and support. Sometimes, our feet need pampering. If you’re low on toe-treating inspo, we’ve got you covered.
And Relax…
After a long day of being on your feet, nothing feels better than settling into your comfy bed or sofa and putting your feet up. Alleviating the day’s stress from your feet is important. A really excellent way to do that is by massaging the muscles of your feet. You can either massage them yourself or get a willing volunteer. Foot massages can relieve tension, ease pain and stiffness and help you to relax. Another way to induce relaxation is by placing your feet above your heart, propping your legs up using pillows or resting them against a wall or sofa armrest whilst lying down. Doing this for just 10 minutes a day can help improve circulation, remove pressure from aching muscles and reduce swelling. Apparently, it can also help to deter varicose veins.
Soothingly Smooth At-Home Hydration
Are your feet a bit rough and dry? Are your heels cracked or your toes sore? Maybe the skin on your soles is hard and callused. Sounds like your feet are dehydrated and require a little attention. Firstly, we need to get rid of that dead skin. Regular exfoliation, using a foot scrub, pumice stones and electric foot files, will reduce that dead skin buildup, removing the rough, scratchy feel of your feet by working in the same way that sandpaper smooths uneven wood. A good rule of thumb is to exfoliate your feet at least once a week to prevent excess dryness. To prolong the smoothness, you can lock in moisture by applying foot creams or a foot mask. These are often packed with hydrating ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera and essential oils.

Reflexology
When your feet need a little extra love, reflexology might be the perfect way to give them some much-needed TLC. This ancient practice is based on the idea that specific points on the feet correspond to different parts of the body, and by applying gentle pressure, you can help release tension, improve circulation and potentially promote overall well-being.
Luxury Support
If you’re on your feet for long periods – whether at work, during exercise or running errands – it’s essential to support your feet properly. Insoles are not just a great fitting aid for your footwear, but Cherry Blossom insoles also provide superb support and plush cushioning, helping to reduce foot pain and fatigue. They work to distribute pressure more evenly, making those long hours on your feet a little more bearable. All our insoles keep feet refreshed, manage moisture and promote all-day comfort – ideal for those who stand or walk a lot, helping you to feel more comfortable and preventing soreness by the end of the day. Choose from our huge insole range, helping to tackle different footwear problems from cold feet to smelly shoes. Another way of providing support is by sporting compression socks, especially if you’re struggling with swollen feet. They gently squeeze your feet and ankles, encouraging better circulation and reducing swelling.
Pampering Pedicure
A pedicure isn’t just about making your feet look good; it’s also about making them feel good. It is a relatively easy, inexpensive and non-invasive method of keeping your feet healthy. During a pedicure, your feet get a nice soak, your nails are trimmed and shaped, and dead skin is gently exfoliated away. This can prevent things like ingrown nails, calluses and even fungal infections. Plus, it feels amazing! Taking care of your feet through regular pedicures keeps them feeling soft, relaxed and looking great, helping you step out in confidence.
Leave it to the Professionals
If you're dealing with uncomfortable foot problems like corns, verrucas, warts or ingrown toenails, it’s a smart idea to see a podiatrist. These specialists know exactly how to treat these conditions, preventing any further pain or complications. A podiatrist can help with the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of everything from removing corns to treating stubborn verrucas or even offering solutions for ingrown nails that might have been causing you a lot of bother.
Your feet do a lot, ferrying you around all day and night, taking a daily battering. However you choose to show them some TLC, they’ll thank you for some well-deserved pampering. For more info on how our insoles can solve your footwear needs, check out our insole blog here.
